In another universe, I'm also wishing and hoping very hard that when I opened my eyes, all projects will be finished and weave in and I don't have to worry about them anymore.

But LIFE... lol.. I know.. is not like that eh... on a more serious note, really what happens if you didn't buy enough yarn or have this nagging feeling at the back of your head that whispers: "S*** looks like I'm going to run out of this yarn for this project" 🧶
If for whatever reasons, you have landed yourself in this situation, fret not, below are some suggestions and hopefully you will be able to complete that project of yours.
A) If your intention is to use SAME yarn Brand/type, below are some suggestions to help you:
(Also, Crossing my toes and fingers for you🤞✨🍀 and Wishing this works for you.☘︎)
1) Please search from where you last have purchased the yarn (either online/Brick and mortar shop) and hopefully the yarn is still available 🤞✨🍀
2) Check out the Yarn Brand Stock list Page. (If you have purchased Yarn Brand XXX, do check out their brand stock list page. Hopefully somewhere some yarn shop along that list they carry what you are looking for 🤞)
3) Check out interest groups/Socials like: Ravlery/ Facegroup/ Yarn forums for yarn stash and pray hard that someone still have some of what you need to finish up your project.
Most knitters/crocheters will be happy to share their stash with you, Do ask nicely and maybe send them something back in return for this kindness as well.
4) Try ebay / or if you are in Singapore (try carousell) maybe someone is selling their yarn stash as well.
B) If your intention is to complete the project, and you already has tried the above and NOT able to Locate back that SAME yarn.
Then, let me suggest to get a similar yarn fiber and thickness, do lower your expectations on the colours (as mentioned earlier, different brands has different dye hues and lots.)
Hopefully this time, you will be able to complete this project. For the next project, bear in mind to purchase enough.
In the worst case scenarios, the last option will be Tearing down that project, Reuse the yarn and turn into another Item. So instead of making what you intended to knit/crochet, you may turn into smaller projects (like a small bag/pouch/beanies/toys etc).
For wearables maybe knit/crochet a smaller size for a baby/toddler/ friend/family member which you think can fit them. IN any way, the material will not be wasted.
Look on the bright side as well, there are also scrappy yarn projects which you can look into. Just google them and you can find New Inspiration again. One of my favourite kind of projects too. This is one thing I like about using Yarn as a medium for my work, nothing will ever goes to waste. All that bits of threads, when you combine them, It will always turn into something. Always have a positive mind-set if you fall into this situation. All will turn out well in the end. ִ𖤐
WISHING YOU CONTINUED SUCCESS.
