For this Crochet top, I use a basic granny square pattern and crochet 4 rows (last row being the base colours) to make one square. Measure the total length of each square. Make sure they are equal in length.
For the bodice, measure your full chest length and divide out how many piece of squares are needed for the bodice. Half crochet squares actually add an elegant look to the neckline. This will be working in a round.
For the length I then add by using a "V" Stitch and work to the desired length I want.
